Male PMS?

So, I've been in a shitty mood lately. Now, this may not be something noticeable by most / any of you, but to Andrea... its is more than "noticeable". I'm starting to piss her off and, and obviously, this isn't making me very happy either.

For now I'm going to blame it on Seasonal reasons... errrr something. I guess there have been a lot of annoyances lately and maybe I'm just too good at keeping them in.

Simply Bliss

I honestly question whether there is anything more refreshing then a wonderful adult ass-wipe.

Obsessed

Admittingly, Coheed is a very close second to Alkaline Trio on my favorites list right now....

Read this and you MIGHT understand why without listening first.

Fwiggin' Sweet

Check out my new pj pants Andrea gave me :)

And you might ask, "Are those scrubs?" and I'll reply "Hells yes they are!"

Farts

I had a terrible stomach ache all day. Upon leaving work, I realized (which I had a sneaking suspicion from the continual need to hold them back at work) that I had a tremendous case of the farts.

That being said... I did some research.

Enjoy.

Oops I did it again

I forgot my socks for the gym again....

Food Update

I've changed my eating habits... at least when I'm in Lansing.

I'm now eating almost entirely organic foods for my meals. I haven't been able to kick the caffeine yet... starring at a computer screen almost always requires it.

Anyways, organic milk tastes just like regular milk only without the hormones and antibiotics in it... salads are great - especially spinach salads like I've been eating. Food without preservatives tastes just as good as food with preservatives. The only difference though, is that you have to eat it within a certain amount of time or it will go bad. For instance, the salad dressing I have actually has an expiration date on it.. Its good stuff though.

Well, I have to go study for my general insurance test Thursday. If I pass I get $100! :)

By the way, if you're reading... post a freaking comment. Otherwise, I'm probably gonna turn off the ability to comment since I tend to get more comment "spam" then actual comments.

All for now.

Food, Glorious Food

After I wrote that title I couldn't help but remember ?elementary? school when we had to sing several songs from that musical. "Oliver, Oliver, never before has a boy wanted more." Man, that sure was miserable.

We had a speaker at work last week. Chris, a professor at MSU and a physical trainer at the Michigan Athletic Club in Lansing. He talked a LOT about what foods are good for us and what we need to avoid. Anyways, the presentation was very interesting and it kind of woke me up to the fact that the food that I've been eating is shitty. He talked about the 3 main types of food - fats, proteins, and carbs. It was good to hear someone talk about the science behind a lot of the "fad" diets and how shitty they truly are for you. How eating all Carbs is terrible unless you want to lose several pounds quickly and then gain them all right back. He also made it very obvious that you need all 3 types to be healthy. Lacking any one of them will cause a lot of problems in your health (i.e. high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc).

This has spurred a change in my lifestyle. I recently signed up at the YMCA and have since picked a schedule of time to go. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I am going to workout after work. My workout will consist of basketball whenever there are people to play with, along with jogging on the treadmill and working on my mid-section. I also will do my best to stretch regularly after my workout. Also, tomorrow I am going grocery shopping to pick up a bunch of healthy food. I have a ton of shitty food in the kitchen that I plan to box up and take the a food pantry. It turns out that peanut butter is BAD for you. I was pretty apphauled when I learned just how bad it is. The presenter opened a jar of peanut butter that had been in his garage for 10 years opened - the peanut butter looked like it had just been opened for the first time. How can we possibly put food in our bodies that won't breakdown over time? The preservatives alone probably cause cancer, not to mention the terrible nutrition of the food itself.

Anyways, I'm going to plug the presenter's book - its called Meal Patterning by Chris Johnson.
